This is a dummy homepage for the Dascant project, an experiment with interactive raytracing in an environment of four spatial dimensions.
Currently this page is rather sparse, as you can see, but there is a Sourceforge project homepage. I suppose there aren't any 'released' files yet, so you might want to just ignore the project homepage for the moment and investigate CVS. See the next section.
Dascant is not currently being maintained, and its real-time performance is currently, um, sub-optimal. But, you know, it does some things that are incoherent in Quake et al, so that's nice. For example, the 3d projection of an object in 4space can be mirrored by rotating through a 4th dimension, and that works, and that is nice.
